Gairdner River site GAI02

Gairdner River: the sampling site was near the corner of Monkey Rock and Carlawillup Roads.

GAI02 A slightly larger pool was still present under the shade of overhanging Melaleuca sp. on the western edge. This pool contained a surprising number of large Galaxid Minnows and Gobies that would probably fall prey to a cormorant observed flying overhead. 17th October 2006

GAI02 looking downstream. The river bed is a broad sandy flat and was not flowing above ground. The remnant of the low flow channel was on the eastern edge of the broad sandy bed visible to the left. 17th October 2006
