Phillips River: at this site, the river is continuous to Culham Inlet. Beautiful steep cliffs of spongelite were a feature of the outside bend of the meander. The sampling site was on inside of the meander which had a shallow muddy bottom. The water level was high, drowning the samphires that were covered in filamentous algae. Access to ESP25 was not possible as the tracks used have been closed by CALM and are overgrown.
