Phillips, West and Steere Rivers site WES01

West River: the sampling site was at a pool upstream from the Moir track crossing in the Fitzgerald River National Park. The aquatic vegetation was very healthy and the site had variable, good habitats with overhanging vegetation and logs. The aquatic flowering plant, Ruppia sp. extended from the bank to three metres in, then the macro algae, Charales sp. covered the bottom. The water was clear and there was Ruppia sp. pollen on surface.
